Hello! I can’t believe we are in the first week of March! This year is flying by!

We started our week with Dr.Seuss. We read The Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham. When I asked the kids if they would eat green eggs most of them said no, so I was glad we opted out of making them this year!

For Art we made A Cat in the Hat face which will be hanging in the hall.

For our centers we colored our nursery Rhyme- Humpty Dumpty, flipped felt green eggs, counted fish, stacked solo cups and white squares to make a Seuss Hat, and used unifix cubes and pompoms to make truffula trees from The Lorax.

Wednesday and Thursday we worked on the letter E. We talked about many words that start with E! We read Elmer and the Whale, and we water colored an egg.

In our centers we colored our E ABC page, found the letter Ee among other letters on a quick kit,  strung buttons, put google eyes on an E, and number matched eggs.

Next week we will start the week out talking about the rhombus. We have learned from area schools that they prefer the term rhombus over diamond so we are trying to put an emphasis on that.

Have a great weekend! See you next week!
