We had a terrific week working through the letter Tt activities!

Monday: T is for Transportation – Students started their day coloring and cutting out a truck. We started getting some of our parent Christmas gifts started and will continue to work on different items throughout the next few weeks leading up to the Christmas play when the children give you their wonderful presents! (For future website posts, if we work on something I’ll just mention parent Christmas gift work) Also, we completed an On-the-Go transportation sort and graph page. We prepped our name turkeys and pumpkin pie crafts also. The books read were Pete the Cat: Construction Destruction and There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Truck.

Tuesday: Taco Tuesday! – The students came into class and completed a taco pattern page; this was the most challenging pattern page we have worked on so far this year. There were lots of corrections and fixes, but we got them all fixed. Each student had given me their taco order last week to prep for today’s pretend taco party! The students cut out all their ingredients and I posted pictures on GroupMe of the students “eating” their creations. They also finished their name turkeys and those were sent home. The books were great for today, Dragons Love Tacos and Dragons Love Tacos 2!

Wednesday: Terrific Tigers – Each student came into class, found their pouch, and colored a large Christmas lightbulb. They also cut them out and I will decorate the outside of our classroom with them! (picture will be coming) We completed our Timothy the Tiger zoophonics craft and finished our pumpkin pie names. The students worked hard to write Happy Thanksgiving and we just traced over their letters. Very few needed help with some letters, which was good! The books read today were On the Road (Peppa Pig) and Trash Trucks.

Thursday: Wear Brown & Thankful Thursday – Students came into class and completed a cut and paste Tt turkey. After the start up activity, we shared what we were thankful for and each student got to come up and show off what they brought in or said. We completed a Christmas craft for parents and also did a thankful prompt ( I kept for EOY binders) and a color by number turkey which we pre-coded for them. The books today were I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie and The Berenstain Bears Thankful Times.

Monday is our Thanksgiving Party and parents are welcome to come out and enjoy the party with us and help out at the different stations we will have. We only have school on Monday and Tuesday next week with the holiday on Thursday. If you have any questions about the party, please message me on Group Me.

Have a great weekend! 39 days til Christmas if anyone is counting! ???? We keep a count on the board in class!
