We reviewed our November letters we covered this month during this last week of the month. We also really got to work on our Christmas crafts for you, parents, and the kids have been working hard and things are coming along! They give the gifts to you on our Christmas Play day, which means we only have nine more classes before they are given to you! AHHHHHHHHHHH!

Monday – Zig Zag/Zippers: The kids came into class and found their pouches with their name and letter/number sheets in their QKs. We completed step one on our main gift for parents. While students were called up to come work with me, others were completing their Zoo Count Numbers worksheet and coloring/cutting the zig zag hair on the boy. Lastly, we completed our November writing and coloring sample. The books we read today were Put Me in the Zoo and Never Ever Shout in a Zoo.

Tuesday – Trees: Students came into a find transportation pattern page to complete. There were 6 choices and only 5 pieces used. Students worked independently on this activity. Those that did not finish their November writing/coloring sample got a chance to finish that up. We worked on step two of our gift. The students also completed their name Christmas trees. These turned out cute and hope they are on display in your home! Books today were The Best Teacher Ever and Always in Trouble.

Wednesday – Review N, T, Z: Kids came in today and had at letter Tt item coloring page. We completed step 3 of our craft today and will finish the kids portion tomorrow! While students were called up to work, others drew the correct number of turkey feathers on each turkey depending on the number on its belly. There was also another gift made today for parents! The two books I read today were The Crayon Box that Talked and A to Z All Mixed Up. We also had Chapel today and ask the kids if they can tell you why we celebrate Christmas. We discussed about Jesus’ birth and the kids watched a short clip.

Thursday – Nativity here we come! I cannot believe that December will be here tomorrow!!! We have so much happening in the next three weeks! I sent home a color page for the kids that is an advent color page if you would like to have them color one dot each day! The kids did great today completing their portion of the gift for you all!! We also got their handprint and they cut it out for another fun one!

I know we have a LOT going on the next 3 weeks before Christmas break, however, if your child is sick, please be respectful and keep them home. We will get things made up for sure when they return. If you have any questions or know ahead of time you will be missing a day, PLEASE message me privately on GroupMe to give me a heads up. Have a great start to December, see everyone back on Monday! ????
