We had a good week reviewing our November letters/info and getting started on our Christmas goodies we will be doing the next few weeks! If my daily info for the week is less it is because I don’t want to give away clues or things that the kids will be making for their families so I will just mention craft or ornament or surprise! You will be receiving all their hard work at the Christmas Play day at the end of the month.
Monday – We practiced writing our names, some students are working on their last names since they have done well with their first name. Items we completed today were our Nn writing practice, number writing practice, Nn sound cut and paste page as well as coloring our humpty dumpty and then using white paint to “glue” him back together. We also got bundled up and took a little nature walk around school at the end of the day.
Tuesday – The students had a good time cutting out their tacos orders I took last week and pretend eating them. We also completed a taco pattern page. The two books I read were Dragons Love Tacos and Dragons Love Tacos 2. Start up today was a number cut and paste, which the kids had to put the numbers in order.
Wednesday – We started the day with a Tt item color page. We also had a Zz sound cut and paste page that students worked on independently after instructions. I started getting some things from kids while they were working for some other crafts. Also students colored and cut out their own winter hat which is on display in the hallway and also designed their own Christmas lightbulb.
Thursday – We worked on some Christmas crafts today! 🙂 Some things need to dry before we move on so items will be done multiple days. I hope the kids don’t say things and spill the beans to you guys on what they are working hard on to give you!
Also if papers aren’t coming home some days, like Thursday, it just means I am keeping some items to dry or we got glue happy and will be going home the next day.
