Hello! This week was all about the letter T! Turkeys, transportation, and Thankfulness!
On Tuesday T was for Turkey! In our morning centers we made a Thanksgiving placemat, traced Thanksgiving words, counted and put together chain links, built the letter T with a snap kit, and used the light tables with a turkey W/S and counting chips.
We also had chapel on Tuesday where we learned more about where our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes were going.
In the afternoon we colored in lower class letters that corresponded to the capital letter, and we made a turkey while putting our numbers in order.
On Wednesday T was for triangles and transportation! In our morning centers we worked on a name train, started a triangle project, rolled 2 dice and covered the number on a vehicle sheet, practiced writing the letter T, and made a rectangle and triangle out of play doh.
We also had specials on Wed. In our specials we worked on phonics and sign language, had an obstacle course to review our colors and numbers in Spanish, and we did a dancing corn experiment in Science.
In the afternoon we did a hand painting project and colored a transportation work sheet.
On Thursday we focused on Thankfulness. In our centers we made a Thankful tree, dot painted a piece of paper which will be put together as a class Christmas Tree, number clip cards, built our name with magnetic letters, and found the letter T with magnetic chips. In the afternoon we worked on the letter T sounds and started a Christmas project.
Next week on Tuesday we celebrate Thanksgiving together! Our party is at 10 and all are welcome!
Have a great weekend!
