Hello! Picture Day this week was a success! Lots of great big smiles!
Since we started the week with pictures we kept our schedule pretty easy! We did a Farm following directions project and read Funny Farm.
In our centers we used the writing boards, magnatiles, strung beads, practiced tearing paper, and put floam on the letter F.
On Wed/ Thur we worked on knowing what a square is. We read Spookly the Square Pumpkin (There is a cartoon version if anyone wants to watch- pretty cute!) and we made a square pumpkin craft to hang in the hall.
In our centers we colored our monthly nursery rhyme (Itsy Bitsy Spider), made a square with kinetic sand, Traced squares, outlined squares with square blocks, made squares with rubber bands on a geoboard.
Next week (M/T) was supposed to be F is for Farm but we were able to get a local fire department to come for a visit so it’s F is for fire safety!
