We had a fun week learning about letter Pp and even got a Field Trip treat this week!
Monday: Potato Head & Puzzles – Students came into class with puzzles to practice and work on waiting for all their classmates to arrive. There are a few favorites it seems (Peppa Pig) and others that are a bit more challenging will be trying to tackle next time. We also made our PeeWee the Penguin for zoophonics and colored 4 squares and cut them out. Lastly, the kids created different Potato Head characters and had fun with all the body parts!
Tuesday: Pumpkin Palooza – The kids came in to find their pouch and color a pumpkin page. Our activities today included coloring, cutting, and pasting our name pumpkins on the wagon and a Roll a Pumpkin number/color page. The books read today were Pumpkin Magic and It’s Pumpkin Day Mouse!
Wednesday: Field Trip to Kregel’s Pumpkin Patch!
Thursday: (Pretend) Pizza Party – Students started the day completing a count/cut/paste/color page that all completed well. We also all shared what our favorite kind of pizza is and lastly constructed our own name pizzas. The pretend pizza party was scrumptious! The pizza books read were Pete the Cat and the Perfect Pizza Party, How to Eat a Pizza, and Curious George and the Pizza.
Reminder that Monday is our Harvest Party! Kids are allowed to come dressed up in their costumes and parents are allowed to come to help with snacks, games, and the craft. Information was sent home about the party, if you have questions, please let me know. Have a good weekend and see everyone dressed for the party on Monday!
