We had a short week covering the letter Rr, but didn’t short out on the fun activities!
Monday: Radiant Rectangles – Start up was our names in QK. Centers included creating rectangles on the geoboards with rubber bands, Rr writing practice in QKs, completing a rectangle shape hunt page and finishing the fall pattern page. Books today were Toad in the Road and We Will Rock our Classmates. We also had chapel today.
Tuesday: Rad Rainbows – Start up today was getting our pieces cut out for Robbie the Rabbit Zoophonics animal. We later constructed him. Centers were Roll a Rainbow, Rr letter sounds, October writing sample, creating rainbows with strips of construction paper, and completing a rainbow color page with the correct order of colors. We also decorated our bats which took a day to dry and went home on Wednesday.
Wednesday: Rainbow Fish Fun – Start up was an Rr item color page. The book today was Rainbow Fish and the Big Blue Whale. Our centers today included rainbow color patterns, I would share creative writing with rainbow fish, practicing our Rr writing in QKs and making our own rainbow fish with our marker/water combo!
Please be sure to see the pink paper in your child’s folder from Wednesday, there was a note regarding the party on Monday! Also their bats and spiders they made were in the folder and bags…be sure to hang those up!
