Hello! Welcome to R week! Rainbows, Rectangle Robots, and Rockets!!
We started the week with R is for Rainbow! In our centers we made a rainbow with our name on each color, traced the letters in R is for Rainbow and colored a picture, used circle counters to stack on numbers on a rainbow mat, matched lower case letters to capital letters.
In the afternoon we had a visit from a fire fighter! He taught us some things about fire safety and took us for a short ride (around the parking lot) in a fire truck!
On Wednesday it was R is for Rectangle Robots! We made rainbows with Fruit loops since we ran out of time on Tuesday. We traced the letter R, stacked unifix cubes on numbered robots, and made rectangles out of rubber bands. We had specials Wed and our science project was a Walking rainbow, and a skittles rainbow. In the afternoon we made a rectangle robot!

On Thursday R was for rocket! We completed an R sounds worksheet, cut a square and wrote the word, completed a maze with the letter R, made rocket patterns, used kinetic sand on the letter R. In the afternoon we made rocket ships and practiced writing 1-10.

We had a great week! Next week we work on the letter P! Pizza, popcorn, pjs, and of course pumpkins! Thursday we will leave the school and meet at the Pumpkin Patch!

Have a great weekend!
