Hello!
We had a great week! We focused on the Letter F and all things Farm and Frogs.

On Tuesday we started the day by coloring a farmhouse for a later project.
In our centers we did a directed drawing of a Pig, using Unifix cubes built the numbers 4 & 5 on a farm mat, used thumbtacks to poke holes in a farm sheet, told a farm story with felt pieces, and did a find and trace the letter F.

In the afternoon we did the writing portion of our pig project (My pet pig eats….) These came out so cute! I absolutely love them! We also played Farm Bingo! They love any kind of Bingo these days!

On Wednesday we were back on the farm! We colored and cut out animals to glue around our barn we colored on Tuesday, we did some name writing practice, matched lower case letters to capital letters, played with Farm toys, and built the numbers 6 & 7 with playdoh.

In the afternoon we painted our hands to turn into scarecrows for our school ABC farm wall.
Wednesday we also did specials where we continued to learn colors and numbers in Spanish, Learned the Lifecycle of a pumpkin in Science, practiced our monthly letters and sounds in Phonics, practiced sign language.

On Thursday we learned F is also for Frog!

In our centers we traced the letter F and recognized words that start with F, practiced cutting, matched shapes on frog cards, using number clip cards counted the frogs on a lily pad and clipped the correct number, practiced writing letters on a white board.

In the afternoon we learned about the life cycle of a frog and painted/glued the stages on a paper plate.

We also did our cut/glue letter sounds page for the letter F.

We really had a busy week! I hope the kids get some down time to relax this weekend!

I want to make a quick note that it seems cold/flu season is already starting. Please help us enforce covering all sneezes and coughs, and keeping our hands to ourself at school.
Thank you to all who have donated Clorox wipes and Kleenex! We definitely appreciate it! We’re trying our best to keep everyone healthy!!

Have a great weekend!! Next we will work on the Letter P and go to the Pumpkin Patch!
