Hello! We had a fun week! It was all about Astronauts and the Letter O!
On Tuesday it was A for Astronaut. We colored/cut an astronaut and uniform, practiced our cutting skills on squiggly lines, matched rockets with 10- frames to numbered astronauts, used tweezers to pick tiny astronauts out of black beans in a sensory bin, colored a maze of circles and ovals to review our September shapes.
We started an astronaut project by cutting/painting a circle for a moon and coloring an astronaut (that will later hold the child’s picture) and flag. It will all be glued on black paper with star stickers. These will be hung up to display. On Tuesday we played our first game of ABC Bingo. The kids did great!

On Wednesday we presented our Specials. Every Wednesday the Pre-K classes will rotate among the Pre- k teachers and get a 15 minute lesson in Spanish, sign language, phonics, and science. This was our first week and the kids loved it!
Wednesday we also started on the Letter O! We tore and glued orange paper to the letter o,  cut and glued matching numbers to owls, did a opposites color sheet, strung beads on a “octopus” body, and Traced the letter O. We also read an opposites book and played some games where we split up in two groups and the kids did opposite of each other. We also made a torn paper owl craft.

On Thursday we continued with the Letter O for Outdoors.
We did some fall outdoor patterns, found the letter O with magnetic wands and chips, measured trees using unifix cubes, practiced writing the letter O on the white board, and made the letter O with kinetic sand. We also sponge painted a Fall Leaf.
Next week we move onto the Letter F. Down on the Farm!

Don’t forget Tuesday is picture day! Bring your Best smiles!

Have a great weekend!
